台灣大多數的高山，你去了是孤身往上攀的——森林遮蔽、稜線逼仄，與其說看見天，不如說在鑽進山裡。但三叉山不一樣：它的四周是大片開闊的高山箭竹草原，視野無遮無攔，遠方的山一座一座露出身影。更特別的是，這裡是三條主要稜線的交會點：高雄來的人、台東來的人、花蓮來的人，在這裡不期而遇，說起各自走過的路，分享口糧、分享水，然後各自往更高處去。沒有人知道在這裡會遇見誰。但每一次相遇，都會帶你往更高走。有些人擦肩而過，從此再沒交集；有些人卻從此結伴，往後的山一起爬——緣分先發生，情誼才長出來。「交友家族」還沒有App降生，但這片草原早就在等了。
Most of Taiwan's high mountains are places you climb alone — forest closes in, ridgelines narrow, the feeling more of burrowing into the mountain than opening toward the sky. Sanchashan is different. Its summit meadows of alpine bamboo grass stretch wide and open in every direction, unobstructed views revealing mountain after mountain on the horizon. More distinctively, this is where three major ridgelines converge: hikers arriving from Kaohsiung, from Taitung, from Hualien — they meet here unexpectedly, share stories of their different routes, pass around food and water, and then each continue upward on their own path. No one knows who they'll meet here. But every encounter carries you a little higher. Some part ways and never cross paths again; others become companions who keep climbing together for years after — the bond comes after the chance meeting.
